Cartridge and Quest
It's time to Level Up!
Join Cartridge and Quest, where 2 friends born in 1985 (the year the NES changed everything!), journey through life, gaming, Nerd history and everything in between.
We'll be reliving classic adventures, share hilarious stories from our childhoods, and reflecting on how those experiences shaped us into the (slightly) more responsible adults we are today.
Plus, we'll discuss the joys (and challenges!) of parenting, and how our love for gaming is now being passed down to the next generation.
Get ready for a retro-fueled ride down memory lane, seasoned with a healthy dose of dad jokes and the occasional "Where's my hoverboard?!" moment.
Meet the Team
Alright, fellow elder millennials and elder emos, power up your nostalgia circuits! Let's talk about AverageTrav, one of the dynamic duo behind the "Cartridge and Quest" podcast. Born in the epic year of 1985 – when the NES first blinked onto our CRT screens and changed life as we knew it – AverageTrav is your co-pilot, alongside FoodieMikeC, on a hilarious and often heartfelt journey through the pixelated landscapes of our past and the slightly more complicated (and creaky-kneed) present. On "Cartridge and Quest," AverageTrav digs into the good old days of 80s, 90s, and 2000s gaming, sharing those classic adventures and questionable childhood logic that somehow got us here. Expect to hear him reminisce about blowing into cartridges, the thrill of discovering secret levels, and maybe even some of his signature "questionable and often fatal" in-game maneuvers that still haunt him (and entertain us) to this day. But it's not all about looking back! Trav also navigates the current level of life, talking about the joys and uh, interesting challenges of parenting in a digital age, and how he's attempting to pass the controller (and the sacred love of gaming) to the next generation. So, if you're ready to Level Up your podcast game with stories about life, gaming, kids, and everything in between, tune in to hear AverageTrav and FoodieMikeC create that safe space where we can all laugh about the journey from then to now.
